Stephen (First Martyr in NT) was one of
the early deacons and preacher in early Church. He could be compared with Enoch
& Elijah in OT. All three have interconnectedness with heavenly realms.
Eventually we have record of Stephen in only 13 verses. But he shook the World
with his speech before the Jewish rulers and claimed universalism of the Gospel. I
would say, Stephen was theologically greater than Peter who used to believe in
Jewish association with Gentiles is unlawful. Later confessed "I should
not call anyone profane or unclean" (Acts 10:28-29). Stephen also made
tremendous impact on St. Paul (Acts 22:19-21). Dear God, we just want to
introspect how our words / deeds/ mannerisms/dealings/nature and thoughts are affecting
others. Sometimes we speak but No Life in our words. Our deeds are futile O
God. Make us to impact others, which lead to Life. In Jesus name, we pray.
