O
God of Malachi. Your Word says "How happy is the one whom God reproves;
therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty (Job 5:17). Malachi was
very harsh in his prophetic word. He used very harsh words and sentences like
"I will send curse on you, I will curse your blessings, and I will rebuke
your offspring and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings (Mal
2:3). O God, thank you for using Malachi during surgical strikes on people who
despised your name, intermarriages and about judgement day. We see Malachi
reproving people after the exilic period. People during exile walked with God,
but when released from captivity they neglected God. "I HELD OUT MY HANDS
ALL DAY LONG TO A REBELLIOUS PEOPLE... (Isaiah 65:2). Dear God, help us not to
obey only during captivity but also to seek your will, your authority, and
obedience in every aspect of our life. Help us not to despise your discipline.
Your discipline will refine us like Gold and Silver. I want to be like Gold and
Silver. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
