Inspirational Prayers: 00034

O God of Rebekah. Your Word says "All scriptures are inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Jacob received his blessings by tricking Esau. Their mother Rebekah played key role in deceiving. When Isaac restricts her (check) mother Rebekah of mocking, she replied "Let your curse be on me" (Gen 27:13). As prophesied by her own mouth she received curse in the form of distancing herself with his beloved son Isaac (Gen 27:43). After sending Isaac to her brother Laban in Haran, she never saw his children again. We see Rebekah last time in Gen 29:12. She lost her beloved son forever. Dear God as parents and humans, we are prone to choose illegal, unrighteous, unethical, immoral, unlawful and tricky ways of blessing to our children. Help us not to choose Rebekah's ideology to  bless children.. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
