O
God of King David. Thank you for yet another breath in our life in this fresh
day. Thank you for your continuous guidance and instructions. Your Word says in
Psalm 119:105 "YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT TO MY
PATH." David fled to the land of Philistines due to the fear of King Saul
and lived in that foreign land for one year and four months (1 Sam 27:1-7).
David was young during his exilic period. He might fall in sin/ persecution by
foreigners/affliction/addiction/shame/suffering/blame/rejection/wickedness/idoatry
/dualism/oppression/greed and so on... but in His heart he made a bold
affirmation by writing Psalm 119:11 "I treasure your Word in my heart so
that I may not sin against you. (In this context, during his exilic period in
the land of philistines he penned this verse in Psalm 119). As a humans we are
prone to sin o master. Help us to hide your Word in our heart which will
overcome sin. Your Word says in Jeremiah 17:9 "the heart is devious above
all." But when we treasure your Word in our heart, it will tame our heart
to go in a straight way without any deviations and diversions. Your Word will
guide each and every step in our life. Help us to give much importance to your
Word which will lead us to eternity. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
