O
God of Naomi, You are the God of sustenance, providence, all sufficient and
bountiful. We thank you for the divine provision. You gave us air to breath,
food to eat and water to drink and above all you covered us under your blood. You
always love us unconditionally and with a specific plan and purpose, but
several times we failed to exhort you among our fellow human beings. Naomi, the
wife of Elimelech from the tribe of Judah failed to exhort you, couldn't
understand your plan behind famine and showed her bitterness towards you by
accusing (Ruth 1:20, 21). She showed her other side of the coin during the time
of affliction though she knew Pentateuch (Torah/law). One side she was saying
"Almighty has dealt bitterly." (Ruth 1:20 b) where almighty in Hebrew
is el-shaddai means: nourish, satisfy and supply and on the other side she was
accusing you with words like bitterly, empty, harshly and calamity. O God many
a time during the time of trials and tribulations, we are forgetting our
blessings, your deeds, your favour, your deliverance, you’re healing and we are
showing the other side of the coin with accusing behaviour. Help us O God to
understand the cosmic purpose of our trials and tribulations. Help us not to
accuse you for our fortunes and fate. Make me to surrender to your discipline,
because the bible says in Rom 8:28 "all things work together for
good." In Jesus name we humbly pray. Amen.
